Water is a natural resource that is a basic necessity for every human being on earth as well as a significant number of animals. Nevertheless, there is rising demand for this precious resource, whereby governments and individuals will need to find solutions to tackle this issue.
著人的影响。
答案回忆:(待补充)With regards to the causes of increasing demand, a few hundred thousand babies are born every day, which has led to massive numbers of people requiring water.
Furthermore, less than one percent of the earth’s water is freshwater that can be used for drinking. Nonetheless, to add to this burden, a huge quantity of rivers, lakes and oceans are being polluted by humans, rendering this water undrinkable or unpurified. Water also needs to be used to plant more crops and power a vast number of industries, not to mention it is being depleted with the onset of climate change as bodies of water dry up.
In order to reverse this terrible trend, individuals need to learn to save water in their daily lives and treat water as a privilege, not a right. Governments must invest in developing techniques to either artificially create water or purify saltwater at lower costs. Along the same lines, government ought to give tax breaks to companies that serve to create technologies to reduce the usage of water. On the other side, heavy polluters that dump industrial contaminants, creating wastewater, ought to be significantly penalised in order to stop their actions.
All in all, water issues pose a significant threat to the future of humanity, which need to be resolved promptly. Everyone has a part to play in protecting valuable water resources for future generations to survive.
